Fans of Picoult will love this book. Readers who haven’t previously been fans should still give this a go; the realness of the topic is sure to be an eye-opener in light of today’s world.
This is ultimately a story of revenge. While her family, and the town’s folk, continue to be deceived by Chamberlin’s deception, Ann waits for the right time to stand up against the betrayal, banishment and even physical violence she has endured for over ten years.
