I used to publish a lot of posts on Joyful Antidotes based around my favourite quotes. They were actually some of my most popular posts, probably because everybody needs some words of encouragement from time to time. I stopped writing these posts altogether at the start of the year because I wanted to focus on my own personal writing. Over the weekend, however, I decided that it was time to include a post filled with inspirational words for you guys. Maybe you will immediately click off this post when you realise what it is, or maybe you will stick around and the words of some very wise people will put a smile on your face. I know some of these quotes have motivated me over the past weeks. Let me know in the comments below if they have struck a chord with you too.

Strive not to be a success, but rather to be of value – Albert Einstein
Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life – Steve Jobs
Whether you think you can or you think you can’t, you’re right – Henry Ford
The only person you are destined to become is the person you decide to be – Ralph Waldo Emerson
When I was 5 years old, my mother always told me that happiness was the key to life. When I went to school, they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wrote down ‘happy’. They told me I didn’t understand the assignment, and I told them they didn’t understand life – John Lennon
What’s money? A man is a success if he gets up in the morning and goes to bed at night and in between does what he wants to do – Bob Dylan
Remember that not getting what you want is sometimes a wonderful stroke of luck – Dalai Lama
I absolutely love these quotes, very positive things to think about!!!!!
Thanks! I like to read them from time to time to perk myself up a bit x
