Hello! I have a mini book haul for you today. Some of these I have read already so I have left a mini commentary for you! I love to read and I would read anything. I like to discuss the books both me and my sister have mutually read which makes me think that I should write some book reviews on here. It would shake things up a bit I guess. Anyway, here are some books I have read recently or are in my to-read list. I would love to hear your opinion on any of them or of course, receive any recommendations from you.
Although it was not based on actual people, The Storyteller is a heart wrenching tale of a lonely baker, a Holocaust survivor and an ex-Nazi Officer who just wants to die. This is a book I didn’t want to put down and found myself walking the streets of Berlin with it stuck to my nose. The historical aspect of the book may be one we have heard tons of times before, but I promise you this isn’t a boring read.
If you want a weepy story about cancer and teenagers, this is it. While I felt it didn’t live 100% up to the hype that surrounds it, it was an enjoyable book which brought out mixed emotions in me. Not all sad emotions as you may imagine as there is a light-hearted aspect to this frank book about cancer.
