Charity Shop Jewels

thI have to admit I used to hate charity shops, not the concept behind them of course, rather the thoughts of rummaging through somebody’s cast-offs and even more so the thoughts of actually buying and wearing something. Don’t judge me, I was a young naïve girl brought up in the era of the Celtic Tiger. Eventually I did start wondering about charity shops and bought the majority of my books in Ireland from a variety of them.

Skip a few years to the ripe ol’ age of twenty-five and I want to start getting more into this whole charity shop thing. I think most of this stems from seeing that amazing items that some of my favorite bloggers and YouTubers find; the other being that I am no longer as foolish with my money. Problem is I have no idea where to start! I guess the easy answer would be in a charity shop, but what should I be looking out for there – how do I find the real gems? More importantly, how do I find the clothing that is applicable to today? Yes I want to copy the style of whenever but I don’t want to look like I just got teleported from there.

This is where I reach out to you lovely people to help me. If you have any tips on how I can make thrifting work for me please share! I am a woman on a mission to thrift!
