Quotes Series IV: Fashionista!

ccHello lovely readers!

Week four of my quotes series already and the novelty hasn’t worn off for me yet! Spending hours looking through quotes online has been a really nice way to spend my time and has helped keep my level of positivity up also. The last two weeks have focused on optimism and positive thinking, so I thought this edition would be a little more relaxed and fun and concentrate on fashion. Fashion is a way in which a lot of us express ourselves, a way of offering relaxation and enjoyment. I love fashion and clothes myself and use them as ways to perk myself up on a down day, not necessarily by going shopping, but by pulling on my favorite dress or re-styling the clothes I already own. I guess you could say that fashion helps with my confidence and self-esteem and I want to present to you some quotes which exemplify exactly this. Enjoy!

Don’t be into trends. Don’t make fashion own you, but you decide what you are, what you want to express by the way you dress and the way you live – Gianni Versace

I have always believed that fashion was not only to make women more beautiful, but also to reassure them, give them confidence – Yves Saint Laurent

Give a girl the right shoes, and she can conquer the world – Marilyn Monroe

While clothes may not make the woman, they certainly have a strong effect on her self-confidence — which, I believe, does make the woman – Mary Kate Ashe

Be sure what you want and be sure about yourself. Fashion is not just beauty, it’s about good attitude. You have to believe in yourself and be strong – Adriana Lima

Dress for yourself and the man you love (if there is one). Women dressing to impress other women––forget about that. Forget about that. It’s a very bad way of thinking – Karl Lagerfeld

Style is a way to say who you are without having to speak – Rachael Zoe

Shoes transform your body language and attitude. They lift you physically and emotionally – Christian Louboutin

1. Find your own style and have the courage to stick to it. 2. Choose your clothes for your way of life. 3. Make your wardrobe as versatile as an actress. It should be able to play many roles. 4. Find your happiest colours – the ones that make you feel good. 5. Care for your clothes, like the good friends they are! – Joan Crawford

Style is knowing who you are, what you want to say, and not giving a damn – Orson Wells
