The Happiness Project – May Edition

SillinessWelcome to the May edition of my happiness project. Yay! I am particularly excited because this is the first month in which the weather actually corresponds with the date. As I write this, it is twenty-two degrees outside and the sunshine is bringing me immense happiness.

So, what did April bring for me? The answer is a lot of ups and downs. Honestly, I feel like now is neither the time nor place to get into the nitty gritty of what occurred, but all necessary details will be revealed in due time. What I can disclose is that all I had intended to do in April I did get done so I give myself a pat on the back for that one. In fairness, reading more was never going to a chore or even a challenge for me but I am happy that my course on rhetorical composing is going well and that I am finding it very enjoyable.

May is going to be an absolute hoot considering the goals Gretchen sets are: find more fun, take time to be silly, go off the path and start a collection. I have certainly let myself go a little bit more lately and it has done wonders for my attitude towards life and my stress levels. Dancing around being silly to some cheesy music is great fun and I will continue to do much more of that as the month progresses. I haven’t really thought too much about how I am going to conquer the project for May because that would not necessarily mean going off the path now would it? Instead I will embrace what comes my way with a pinch of silliness with some giggles injected for good measure. What I have not decided to do at the moment is start a collection. I really would have no idea what to collect. Gretchen attempted to force herself to do so and didn’t find the experience enjoyable so it is most likely that neither will I. A collection can be kept for another time in life.

Anyway, I am off to enjoy some things which give me pleasure in doing (like writing this post for example) and I look forward to reporting all the crazy going-ons next month!
